If you're in the market for a powerful truck but you are also thinking ahead in terms of power and technology, the Ford F-150 Lightning delivers on just about all fronts. One of Ford's only all-electric F-150 trucks, the Ford F-150 Lightning has the powerful features and technology to get you where you need to go without question. At Veterans Ford in Tampa, Florida, we have a range of Ford F-150 Lightning trucks along with other Ford models available to browse today.

Forward-Thinking Electric Technologies

One of the most notable and impressive features that the Ford F-150 Lightning truck has to offer is its all-electric build. For those who are on the fence about transitioning to an all-electric vehicle, Ford makes it easier than ever with more than 500 EV charging stations that are available to all Ford owners as a complimentary service.

The Ford F-150 Lightning includes a 98-kWh battery, which is considered standard for most electric vehicles on the market. This battery typically gets drivers up to 230 miles in total when it is fully charged. For those who enjoy traveling off-road or require additional power, an extended range battery is also available with 131-kWh, providing an extra 320 miles of total range (when fully charged).

Even if your Ford F-150 Lightning's battery is nearly 80% depleted, a fast-charge solution can provide a complete charge in approximately 45 minutes, allowing you the ability to get back onto the road as quickly as possible.

Extreme Power and Performance

Both powertrain solutions included with the Ford F-150 Lightning have a dual-motor configuration. The standard 98-kWh powertrain included with the basic trim has the power to tow up to 5,000 pounds in total. For those who are also utilizing the 131-kWh powertrain, the Ford F-150 Lightning has the ability to tow up to 10,000 pounds in total. This impressive power is suitable for those who are interested in towing vehicles, boats, RVs, and other large vehicles or belongings. Those who are serious about towing can also boost their Ford F-150 Lightning to have the capability of towing up to 17,300 pounds with the Max-Tow package (included with the SuperCrew© models of the Ford F-150 Lightning).

Currently, there are four trims of the Ford F-150 Lightning available: Ford F-150 Lightning Pro, Ford F-150 Lightning XLT, Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat, and the Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum.

Power is the name of the game when it comes to the Ford F-150 Lightning, and it doesn't stop at the powertrain and towing abilities. With the Ford F-150 Lightning, enjoy 11 built-in power outlets, including 2 120 V outlets that are located inside of the cab along with four additional outlets in the bed of the truck. The outlets included with the Ford F-150 Lightning are USB-A and USB-C compatible. Owners of the Ford F-150 Lightning can also take advantage of a built-in backup power station that can power an entire home if you experience a power outage.

Safety First

Before choosing a vehicle that is right for you and your family, consider the safety features that are available. With the Ford F-150 Lightning, the following safety technologies and features are included on all standard models:

  • FordPass© Technology: Included with the Ford F-150 Lightning is the FordPass app and technology. With FordPass, easily access stats about your truck at any time, from available fuel to your tire pressure. Use FordPass to start your vehicle remotely and/or to track its GPS location at any time.
  • Ford Bluecruise Hands-Free Driving: Enjoy Ford BlueCruise hands-free driving technology on various roads and highways throughout North America.
  • BLIS: Blind Spot Information System is built-in to provide protection and alerts to drivers whenever another vehicle or pedestrian is in their blind spot.
