2026 update: The Service Department is second to none! Matt and Jack keep us coming back. My car and my husband's truck are kept running smoothly with regular maintenance. I never feel pressured to get services I don't need. Do I recommend Veteran's Ford? Absolutely! Original review in 2016: My husband wanted a new truck and I was going to buy my first brand new car since 1978. I contacted several dealerships of various manufacturers. I did my homework and wanted to see what was available. My comparison of three Tampa dealerships, resulted in Veteran's Ford having the best prices. I spoke with William Smallwood on the phone. He listened to what I wanted let me know he and his staff were ready help us make an informed purchase. Before getting to Veteran's Ford, we stopped at another dealership. I test drove two cars. We left there angry, because I felt that I was being strong armed into a car I wasn't sure I wanted. I didn't want to look any more, but I gave my word to William that we would come in. I am so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was totally different. William put us with Sean Bergen. Sean made buying our new Ford F-150 and Focus a pleasure. He listened to our wants and needs and directed us to the right vehicles. He didn't try to strong arm us into something we didn't want. He explained the differences between the vehicles we looked at and what we could expect from our purchase. He asked all the right questions and walked me to the perfect car. I only test drove one. It was THE one! Then we went about the business of finding my husband his new F-150. Sean made buying our new Ford F-150 and Focus a pleasure. David Griffith made the closing procedure enjoyable. He is knowledgeable, friendly and made us laugh. He made the mundane task of signing forms and reviewing terms not only pleasant, but entertaining. He offered us products and explained the benefits of each. He made us feel comfortable and never made us feel pressured. We left happy with our purchases. The staff at Veterans Ford shatters the concept of the stereotypical car sale transaction. We walked in feeling battered by the previous dealership, but we left with two new vehicles and a restored faith in what car buying should look like. Update 2023: We have bought our seventh vehicle from Sean Bergen and staff, as he has been rightly promoted. Since the original purchases in 2016, we bought two more in 2018. We took my husband's mother to buy her new car when her previous dealership acted uninterested in helping her. Sean and staff to the rescue. Last year I had to replace my beloved car when it was totalled due to an inattentive driver who slammed into the back of us while we were stopped. Sean, once again, found me the perfect car. Yesterday, my husband drove home in his brand new 2023 F150. Enter Justin Slimak. He made the sale easy. Justin kept us informed every step of the way. He made sure everything was ready before my husband got there. The paperwork was prepared. The truck was fully gassed up with a giant bow on top. Once again, Sean and staff shattered the stereotype of car buying. Do I recommend Veteran's Ford? Absolutely!

We had a great experience with the purchase of our new Ford Maverick. Shane was knowledgeable, patient answering all of our questions and showing us different options. We were in and out with the car in an hour and a half. Very impressed with the dealership inventory , professionalism of everyone who assisted with the sale and particularly Shane who made our experience simple and enjoyable. Let me first start off by saying John was the best salesman I’ve ever had. Not zealous about making the deal or overbearing about calls. He made me comfortable enough to even come into the dealership off of my inquiry I think that’s the Virginia in him. We’re very calculated but calm people. He had the truck sitting out there for me when I arrived and everyone at the dealership was great from the Sales people to management. Veteran's Ford thank you!

Smooth transaction- Romario Morales listened to what I was looking for and was always prepared for our visits. I had a great experience purchasing my truck from Verterans Ford. I saw a deal online that was to good to pass up, but it was father's day and was meeting family at the Rays game. My wife and I drove the Veterans Ford and they opened the doors early. We test drove and bought the truck and got to the game on time. I would highly recommend our sales consultant (Shane Dempsey); he was a pleasure to deal with. No BS, no games, just the truck i wanted at a great price.

Best experience purchasing a car. John was a great salesman very responsive but never pushy. Great price after doing a lot of research. In and out quickly as we did a lot over email before visiting. Edit again: bought a brand new MachE from Veterans as promised 2 years ago and the experience has held up. I have bought, sold, traded almost 40 cars in my lifetime. Some are good experiences, and some are terrible. Additionally I am in high end sales as well. While I didn’t end up buying here, the sales and negotiating practices here were the very best, one could ask for. Sean was an extreme pleasure to work with, extremely competent, knew his stuff and was very responsive through out the process. I have no illusions had I purchased here the same care and competence would have trickled down through the organization. It seems to be the company culture and that is set the highest level. “There is nothing more insulting to a great salesman than having to listen to a bad salesman. It’s like a great basketball player having to listen to a bad basketball player”. Micheal Scott Edit: It’s been almost a year since my purchase. As previously stated I did not buy from here, but that was only due to them not having the exact spec truck I wanted. But I did need to take it in for service and the SA (Linale) was very nice, competent and kept me updated every step of the way. Even found a warranty issue I was not aware of (not a recall) and took care of it. My experience here continues to impress. I hope they stay this way and if so I will be buying my next cars here. Matt provided excellent service during my recent visit. He quickly checked me in and then let me know the estimated wait time, which due to recalls ended up being several hours so I got a ride home. He took the time to thoroughly explain the work that would be done on my vehicle, clearly outlining what was covered under warranty and what I would be responsible for. When my vehicle was ready, it was returned to me clean and in great condition. I highly recommend Matt and Veteran’s Ford to anyone in need of service for their Ford vehicle.

Found a vehicle that I liked online and came into the dealership to test drive. The staff were friendly and were more than happy to get me behind the wheel. Mariana was an excellent saleswoman and didn't try to upsell me on services or another vehicle. The next day I came in and bought a used Genesis. At no time did I feel pressured for the sale and I would recommend others to shop here.

I was so happy I went to Veterans Ford. I had been to many dealerships with no luck. Adam and Eithen took the time to work with me and were super patient with me. I ended up leaving with the car I have wanted forever. Eithen even took the time to put gas in it out of his own pocket! Highly recommend them. I will be back in the future.

My husband and I are mostly full time RVers and we travel frequently. We went in for our bi-annual oil change for our 2022 Bronco. Due to our lifestyle, we usually look for a Ford dealership close to where we are at the time. It was our first time visiting this Ford location. To our surprise, our vehicle had an outstanding safety recall that we knew nothing about. Even though the recall was a few years old, this was the first dealership that had brought it to our attention! Great job at paying attention to detail and doing a complete job! I love FORDS! I have owned a Ford Ranger, a Ford Escape and now I am the proud owner of a Ford Explorer. It is gorgeous! All the bells and whistles I needed! It is blue Certified! Warrantied to 100,000. I could go on an on! I feel safe! Best of all it pulls my food trailer! Had a tow package that pulls 5600 lbs included. I couldn’t be happier! Ok.. plus, it’s a sexy, super comfortable & like I said, a SAFE SUV for what I pull!!!! Thank you Tim, Roberto, Jason and especially to Lorenzo for allowing me to stay with FORD! I had a bad experience about 6 years ago. Sales Rep didn’t want to take the time to go over numbers. So I’ve dreaded going there but they had a car I really wanted so I figured I’d give them another shot. Blake was AWESOME.
