Travis, the service manager, was extremely helpful—he got me in on short notice and had my truck in and out quickly without disrupting my schedule. Matt, who handled my check-in, was also great. When the Ford system was down, he found another way to retrieve the recall code. I’d highly recommend Veterans Ford for service and will be bringing my truck back in the future.

I saw the truck on CarGurus. Just got traded in. The salesman that answer the phone was Shane. He was really good to deal with. I was impressed with the way he did the sale without being pushy in any way. They had it priced perfectly. They hadn't detailed the truck and they were doing some maintenance on it, so I put a deposit on it and came back on Saturday and it was ready to go. Happy with the experience.

Excellent experience. Made service appointment for completion of recall notice, to perform 50,000 service and to fix annoying rattle in rear of car. Also rented car at on site Enterprise office. All work accomplished by mid afternoon. Picked up car and left rental keys with service advisor Max. Very efficient. In contrast, had made appointment at Ford dealer near my home in St Petersburg only to be told on arrival on Thursday morning that since I was dropping the car off “at the end of the week” it “probably” would not be finished until the following week. I will certainly be back to Veterans Ford.

I found the used vehicle that I had been searching for at Veterans Ford. I set an appointment to view it, I was called to confirm the appointment ahead of time, which was great follow-up. Salesperson Jalen was fantastic throughout the process. Very professional and straightforward. Kim in finance was a gem as well. I highly recommend Jalen and if you want a salesperson who will make purchasing a vehicle easy without any back and forth stressful negotiations that I’ve experienced before while purchasing a vehicle, ask for him! Oh, and thank you Blake for putting my license plate on, I appreciate you. One more thing…detail department is on point here. They got my older car looking like new for delivery!! Top notch!

Blake, my salesman has been great. I came in on Monday and closed my deal the same day. No hard sales tactics. While I couldn’t pick up my new truck the same day, because I opted for some additional extras, I was told they would prioritize my truck and have it ready for pick up the following Monday.

Called Veterans for a service on a 2020 Ranger we had just purchased from another dealership the day prior. The alternator was shot. Joseph at Veterans ran a full diagnostic on the truck to see if there was any more surprises. He found none thank goodness. He got the repair completed and even worked with the “other dealership” with getting those repairs paid. What was a super stressful situation was made much easier by having them do all the work. I use Veterans for all my vehicles services because they never disappoint!!

Just got a 2018 Kia Soul Plus. Andro provided magnificent customer service. He was able to answer all my questions and provided detailed explanations. He is bilingual, so he was able to help me in both English and Spanish. Roberto oversaw everything and was very nice. Kim, the financial analyst attended us and she was very sweet and explained everything with patience.

Doing an update review!! Five years ago, I posted a review stating how tremendous Veterans Ford was. Aaron and Lorenzo helped me into a 2019 Ford edge at that time. Five years past and I stupidly went somewhere else to get a car when I should’ve went back to veterans. My husband and I recently came back, as he has been a customer for years. Chris and Mark were absolutely amazing. They were so patient with us and Mark even spoiled my kids with a few toys to keep them busy. They made my dreams of driving an Expedition come true and as always, made the process extremely easy. Let’s not forget Darrell! He was so personable, knowledgeable, and understanding..Thank you Veterans Ford for always taking care of us. I will never steer to another dealership every again!!!

This was one of the best car buying experiences. The laid back atmosphere and friendly but not pushy salespeople really made for a great impression. They listened, were flexible and addressed issues quickly and without and pushback. Patrick the salesperson was very easy going and made the process very quick. I was at 2 other dealerships before I came here and this was a night and day difference as to how they value people and seem very genuine.

2026 update: The Service Department is second to none! Matt and Jack keep us coming back. My car and my husband's truck are kept running smoothly with regular maintenance. I never feel pressured to get services I don't need. Do I recommend Veteran's Ford? Absolutely! Original review in 2016: My husband wanted a new truck and I was going to buy my first brand new car since 1978. I contacted several dealerships of various manufacturers. I did my homework and wanted to see what was available. My comparison of three Tampa dealerships, resulted in Veteran's Ford having the best prices. I spoke with William Smallwood on the phone. He listened to what I wanted let me know he and his staff were ready help us make an informed purchase. Before getting to Veteran's Ford, we stopped at another dealership. I test drove two cars. We left there angry, because I felt that I was being strong armed into a car I wasn't sure I wanted. I didn't want to look any more, but I gave my word to William that we would come in. I am so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was totally different. William put us with Sean Bergen. Sean made buying our new Ford F-150 and Focus a pleasure. He listened to our wants and needs and directed us to the right vehicles. He didn't try to strong arm us into something we didn't want. He explained the differences between the vehicles we looked at and what we could expect from our purchase. He asked all the right questions and walked me to the perfect car. I only test drove one. It was THE one! Then we went about the business of finding my husband his new F-150. Sean made buying our new Ford F-150 and Focus a pleasure. David Griffith made the closing procedure enjoyable. He is knowledgeable, friendly and made us laugh. He made the mundane task of signing forms and reviewing terms not only pleasant, but entertaining. He offered us products and explained the benefits of each. He made us feel comfortable and never made us feel pressured. We left happy with our purchases. The staff at Veterans Ford shatters the concept of the stereotypical car sale transaction. We walked in feeling battered by the previous dealership, but we left with two new vehicles and a restored faith in what car buying should look like. Update 2023: We have bought our seventh vehicle from Sean Bergen and staff, as he has been rightly promoted. Since the original purchases in 2016, we bought two more in 2018. We took my husband's mother to buy her new car when her previous dealership acted uninterested in helping her. Sean and staff to the rescue. Last year I had to replace my beloved car when it was totalled due to an inattentive driver who slammed into the back of us while we were stopped. Sean, once again, found me the perfect car. Yesterday, my husband drove home in his brand new 2023 F150. Enter Justin Slimak. He made the sale easy. Justin kept us informed every step of the way. He made sure everything was ready before my husband got there. The paperwork was prepared. The truck was fully gassed up with a giant bow on top. Once again, Sean and staff shattered the stereotype of car buying. Do I recommend Veteran's Ford? Absolutely!

Let me first start off by saying John was the best salesman I’ve ever had. Not zealous about making the deal or overbearing about calls. He made me comfortable enough to even come into the dealership off of my inquiry I think that’s the Virginia in him. We’re very calculated but calm people. I had a great experience purchasing my truck from Verterans Ford. I saw a deal online that was to good to pass up, but it was father's day and was meeting family at the Rays game. My wife and I drove the Veterans Ford and they opened the doors early. We test drove and bought the truck and got to the game on time. I would highly recommend our sales consultant (Shane Dempsey); he was a pleasure to deal with. No BS, no games, just the truck i wanted at a great price.

Best experience purchasing a car. John was a great salesman very responsive but never pushy. Great price after doing a lot of research. In and out quickly as we did a lot over email before visiting. Well worth the trip and will definitely purchase here again. Finance manager was quick, helpful and again not pushy, just informative. Manger was on hand and ready to help as well. Prompt, let's you know the updates on repair or recall progress, plus the dealership has a roomy waiting room. If you live within 5 miles there's a free shuttle service to bring you back and pick you up. Definitely would recommend.

Edit again: bought a brand new MachE from Veterans as promised 2 years ago and the experience has held up. I have bought, sold, traded almost 40 cars in my lifetime. Some are good experiences, and some are terrible. Additionally I am in high end sales as well. While I didn’t end up buying here, the sales and negotiating practices here were the very best, one could ask for. Sean was an extreme pleasure to work with, extremely competent, knew his stuff and was very responsive through out the process. I have no illusions had I purchased here the same care and competence would have trickled down through the organization. It seems to be the company culture and that is set the highest level. “There is nothing more insulting to a great salesman than having to listen to a bad salesman. It’s like a great basketball player having to listen to a bad basketball player”. Micheal Scott Edit: It’s been almost a year since my purchase. As previously stated I did not buy from here, but that was only due to them not having the exact spec truck I wanted. But I did need to take it in for service and the SA (Linale) was very nice, competent and kept me updated every step of the way. Even found a warranty issue I was not aware of (not a recall) and took care of it. My experience here continues to impress. I hope they stay this way and if so I will be buying my next cars here. Matt provided excellent service during my recent visit. He quickly checked me in and then let me know the estimated wait time, which due to recalls ended up being several hours so I got a ride home. He took the time to thoroughly explain the work that would be done on my vehicle, clearly outlining what was covered under warranty and what I would be responsible for. When my vehicle was ready, it was returned to me clean and in great condition. I highly recommend Matt and Veteran’s Ford to anyone in need of service for their Ford vehicle.
