2026 update: The Service Department is second to none! Matt and Jack keep us coming back. My car and my husband's truck are kept running smoothly with regular maintenance. I never feel pressured to get services I don't need. Do I recommend Veteran's Ford? Absolutely! Original review in 2016: My husband wanted a new truck and I was going to buy my first brand new car since 1978. I contacted several dealerships of various manufacturers. I did my homework and wanted to see what was available. My comparison of three Tampa dealerships, resulted in Veteran's Ford having the best prices. I spoke with William Smallwood on the phone. He listened to what I wanted let me know he and his staff were ready help us make an informed purchase. Before getting to Veteran's Ford, we stopped at another dealership. I test drove two cars. We left there angry, because I felt that I was being strong armed into a car I wasn't sure I wanted. I didn't want to look any more, but I gave my word to William that we would come in. I am so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was totally different. William put us with Sean Bergen. Sean made buying our new Ford F-150 and Focus a pleasure. He listened to our wants and needs and directed us to the right vehicles. He didn't try to strong arm us into something we didn't want. He explained the differences between the vehicles we looked at and what we could expect from our purchase. He asked all the right questions and walked me to the perfect car. I only test drove one. It was THE one! Then we went about the business of finding my husband his new F-150. Sean made buying our new Ford F-150 and Focus a pleasure. David Griffith made the closing procedure enjoyable. He is knowledgeable, friendly and made us laugh. He made the mundane task of signing forms and reviewing terms not only pleasant, but entertaining. He offered us products and explained the benefits of each. He made us feel comfortable and never made us feel pressured. We left happy with our purchases. The staff at Veterans Ford shatters the concept of the stereotypical car sale transaction. We walked in feeling battered by the previous dealership, but we left with two new vehicles and a restored faith in what car buying should look like. Update 2023: We have bought our seventh vehicle from Sean Bergen and staff, as he has been rightly promoted. Since the original purchases in 2016, we bought two more in 2018. We took my husband's mother to buy her new car when her previous dealership acted uninterested in helping her. Sean and staff to the rescue. Last year I had to replace my beloved car when it was totalled due to an inattentive driver who slammed into the back of us while we were stopped. Sean, once again, found me the perfect car. Yesterday, my husband drove home in his brand new 2023 F150. Enter Justin Slimak. He made the sale easy. Justin kept us informed every step of the way. He made sure everything was ready before my husband got there. The paperwork was prepared. The truck was fully gassed up with a giant bow on top. Once again, Sean and staff shattered the stereotype of car buying. Do I recommend Veteran's Ford? Absolutely!

Edit again: bought a brand new MachE from Veterans as promised 2 years ago and the experience has held up. I have bought, sold, traded almost 40 cars in my lifetime. Some are good experiences, and some are terrible. Additionally I am in high end sales as well. While I didn’t end up buying here, the sales and negotiating practices here were the very best, one could ask for. Sean was an extreme pleasure to work with, extremely competent, knew his stuff and was very responsive through out the process. I have no illusions had I purchased here the same care and competence would have trickled down through the organization. It seems to be the company culture and that is set the highest level. “There is nothing more insulting to a great salesman than having to listen to a bad salesman. It’s like a great basketball player having to listen to a bad basketball player”. Micheal Scott Edit: It’s been almost a year since my purchase. As previously stated I did not buy from here, but that was only due to them not having the exact spec truck I wanted. But I did need to take it in for service and the SA (Linale) was very nice, competent and kept me updated every step of the way. Even found a warranty issue I was not aware of (not a recall) and took care of it. My experience here continues to impress. I hope they stay this way and if so I will be buying my next cars here. I had the most pleasant experience at this dealership! Everyone is so kind and was willing to help find my dream car! I would love to personally recognize Adam and Sean for setting the standards so high! They are so knowledgeable and knew what I wanted and helped me with my trade in. I had the best car buying experience ever with this dealership. Sean Bergen sent me texts before coming in with what documentation was needed. Everything was very professional and I was in/out in ~2.5 hrs! I was given more on my trade in than initially quoted. Also Shane was instrumental with training me on all the features of my Bronco; took me on the test drive; and expedited all the paperwork things! overall, it was a great experience!
