The Ford Edge remains mostly unchanged for 2016. The biggest change is to how the Edge is steered. A new adaptive steering system has been added as standard across the entire Edge lineup. The new steering promises to make the Edge both more fun to drive and easier to maneuver at low speeds. Adaptive steering achieves this by decreasing the number of turns needed to go lock to lock at parking lot speeds while increasing the amount input needed to steer the car at high speeds. The slower steering at high speeds works to both increase stability and allow for more precise inputs.
The 2016 Ford Edge is a vast improvement over its predecessor. The Edge is often compared to the Nissan Murano, the Kia Sorento and the Chevrolet Equinox however, the Edge comes with a more powerful set of powertrains and more competitive fuel economy. Passenger volume, rear legroom and cargo capacity are among the best in the category.
